Kelly Anderson is an Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School and a PORTAL faculty member. Her research examines the relationship between insurance design and health care utilization and spending, with three active lines of work: improving payment for high-cost prescription drugs, evaluating Medicare insurance design, and addressing challenges in medication access associated with pharmacy closures. She primarily applies quasi-experimental and descriptive methods to large administrative datasets.

Prior to joining PORTAL, Dr. Anderson served as an Assistant Professor and PhD program director at the University of Colorado Center for Pharmaceutical Outcomes Research. She completed her PhD in Health Policy and Management at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and received her MPP and BS in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Virginia.
