Mooney H, Austad K, Campbell EG, Avorn J, Lu Z, Kesselheim AS - Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics

  • Regulation and Clinical Evidence

Summary:

Among 283 physicians resurveyed 13 years after first participating as medical students and residents, the types of gifts received from pharmaceutical companies remained largely consistent between 2011 and 2024, while there were notable differences in respondents’ use of educational resources to learn about medications. Although ~1 in 4 physicians did not know whether their institution had a policy governing industry interactions, most supported stronger limits on interactions between physicians and the pharmaceutical industry.
